A guestbook anyone can sign — no login required
The indie-web guestbook revival is wonderful, and ATProto-native guestbooks (like atabook) are a fun part of it. But they share one catch: to sign one, a visitor has to log in with a Bluesky/ATmosphere account. Friends without one — or anyone arriving from outside that network — simply can't leave a note. Margin takes the opposite stance: signing needs no account at all.

Sign this one 👋
This is the real Margin widget — no login, just a name. Leave a note and watch it appear.
Share a link, or embed it anywhere
Every Margin guestbook gets its own hosted page — post "Sign my guestbook 👋" and anyone can leave a note, no account needed. Or drop it on your own site with one line:
<script src="https://margin.perch-app.workers.dev/embed.js" data-site="YOUR_KEY" data-page="guestbook" defer></script>
When an ATProto guestbook is the better pick
If you specifically want signatures tied to verified ATProto identities, or you love that it lives as a record in your own PDS, an ATProto guestbook is a great fit. Margin is for the opposite goal: the widest, lowest-friction "leave a note" box, open to everyone who visits.
